Adams Adviser Hospitalized After FBI Raid Tied to Campaign Fundraising Questions
-
Winnie Greco, a senior adviser to Mayor Adams, is on paid sick leave after suffering a medical episode during an FBI raid at her Bronx home. She was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
-
The FBI also raided a second home Greco owns, as well as the offices of New World Mall in Queens where Greco helped host fundraisers for Adams' 2021 campaign.
-
This comes after Greco became the subject of a city investigation over allegations she made a volunteer for Adams' campaign renovate her home for free before getting a city job.
-
Greco is the third Adams adviser to be raided by the FBI in recent months, along with top fundraiser Brianna Suggs and aide Rana Abbasova.

Separately, a group of Adams supporters, including a retired NYPD inspector friendly with Adams, were indicted last year on charges of orchestrating an illegal straw donor scheme to boost Adams' 2021 campaign.
