Survey based on data collected from 2,61,746 households across all states and union territories
Bottom 5% of rural population has average monthly spending of ₹1,373 per person, while it's ₹2,001 for bottom 5% urban
Monthly spending per person highest in Sikkim (rural ₹7,731, urban ₹12,105) and lowest in Chhattisgarh (rural ₹2,466, urban ₹4,483)
