AI drone beats pro drone racers at their own game

Researchers at the University of Zurich have developed an AI-powered drone, called Swift, that outperformed human drone racers in 15 out of 25 races, achieving the fastest lap and navigating obstacles at speeds of up to 62 mph (100 kph) using only an onboard computer, a single camera, and an inertial sensor.
