Air France-KLM to Order Up to 90 Airbus A350s, Replacing A330s and Older 777s

Air France-KLM plans to order 50 Airbus A350 long-haul jets, with purchase rights for 40 more, to replace A330s and older 777s.

Deal includes A350-900 and A350-1000 models to be delivered 2026-2030.

Airbus won over Boeing due to A350's range and size advantages for Air France-KLM's network.

Order gives flexibility to allocate aircraft between brands and potential future acquisitions.

Renewal part of fleet simplification strategy since CEO Ben Smith joined in 2018.
