Navalny Family Appeals for His Body as U.S. Plans New Russia Sanctions Over Opposition Leader's Death

Alexei Navalny's widow Yulia Navalnaya had her Twitter account suspended and then restored. Twitter said it was a mistake.

Navalnaya posted a video accusing Putin of killing her husband and calling for his body to be returned for a proper burial.

The Kremlin denies the allegations as "unfounded" and "insolent." Putin's spokesman calls them "absolutely unfounded."

Navalny's mother Lyudmila also released a video appealing to Putin to release her son's body so she can bury him.

The U.S. announced new sanctions on Russia in response to Navalny's death, to be formally unveiled later this week.
