AMD Unveils Radeon RX 7900M Mobile GPU to Rival Nvidia's RTX 4080 in New Alienware Laptop

AMD revealed the new Radeon RX 7900M mobile GPU, targeting Nvidia's RTX 4080 for performance. It will debut in the Alienware m18 laptop.

AMD claims the RX 7900M averages 104fps across 30 games at 1440p, and is 7% faster than the RTX 4080 on average.

The RX 7900M can reach up to 180W TGP, with specs including 16GB GDDR6 memory and 72 RDNA 3 compute units.

Alienware m18 pairs the GPU with AMD's Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU as an AMD Advantage laptop with up to 64GB RAM.

The Alienware m18 is available now, starting at $2,800 with either a 165Hz 2,560 x 1,600 or 480Hz 1,920 x 1,200 display.
