United 737 Panel Found Missing After Flight from San Francisco to Oregon
-
A panel was found missing from a United Boeing 737-800 after it landed in Medford, Oregon on Friday. The plane had flown from San Francisco.
-
The missing panel was on the underside of the plane where the wing meets the body, near the landing gear.
-
The flight with 139 passengers and 6 crew landed safely, no injuries reported. The damage was noticed in a post-flight inspection.
-
This latest incident comes after other recent issues with Boeing planes, including a panel blowing off a Boeing Max 9 in January after takeoff from Portland.
-
The FAA said it will investigate the missing panel on the United flight. Boeing deferred comment to the airline.
