Spirit Airlines Expanding in San Diego with 5 New Nonstop Routes

Spirit Airlines announcing 5 new nonstop flights from San Diego to Baltimore, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, and Salt Lake City beginning in April, May, and June.

Flights will start out 3 times per week to Baltimore before going daily in May. Other flights will have daily service from the start.

Spirit already flies nonstop from San Diego to Oakland, Las Vegas, and San Jose. The new flights expand their presence.

Most new destinations already have relatively robust service from other airlines like Southwest, Delta, Alaska.

Expanded Spirit service comes shortly after planned merger with JetBlue was called off in late January.
