Man Sentenced for Threatening Former Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs
- A man was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for threatening former Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs in 2022
- He left voicemails calling Hobbs a "traitor" and saying her days were "extremely numbered"
- This comes less than 2 weeks after another man was sentenced for making a bomb threat against Hobbs in 2021
- The DOJ has charged around 20 people so far for threats against the elections community
- DOJ says there are currently 7 federal cases in Arizona involving out-of-state election threat cases
