Apple Working on New iOS and macOS Accessibility Features Called 'Crystal' and 'Glow'
-
Apple is developing new accessibility features for iOS 18 and macOS 15, codenamed Crystal and Glow, to be released later this year.
-
Features include Adaptive Voice Shortcuts to toggle accessibility settings by voice, a categories section for Live Speech, and expanded font size customization.
-
Additional accessibility features are being tested internally, including adjustable menu bar text size and eye tracking capabilities.
-
Support for custom font sizes will expand from 5 to 10 apps on macOS 15.
-
While in development, there's no guarantee these features will ship - Apple sometimes cancels projects that don't meet standards.
