Apple Developing Own AI Model 'ReALM' to Rival and Surpass OpenAI's GPT-4 for Siri

Apple is developing its own large language model (LLM) called ReALM to enhance Siri's capabilities and understand context better.

ReALM comes in 4 sizes - ReALM-80M, ReALM-250M, ReALM-1B, and ReALM-3B, with the numbers indicating model size.

Even the smallest ReALM model matches OpenAI's GPT-4 performance, while larger ones outperform it.

ReALM is better than GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 at processing onscreen information by up to 5%.

Apple may discuss ReALM at WWDC in June, so it could enter the mainstream market soon.
