• AT&T informed users that personal data for 7.6M current and 65.4M former customers was breached, including SSNs.
• The company reset passcodes for current users and will contact those whose data was exposed.
• The data is from 2019 or earlier and does not appear to include financial or call records.
• Information exposed may include emails, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and birth dates.
• This is the 2nd major incident for AT&T this year after a wireless network outage in February disrupted service.
