Backed Finance Launches Tokenized BlackRock Bond ETF on Base Layer-2, Eyes Tokenizing More Assets

Backed Finance launched a tokenized version of a BlackRock government bond ETF on Base layer-2 network.

The tokenized ETF has the ticker blBO1 and converts the iShares short-term U.S. Treasury ETF.

Backed aims to tokenize anything held in a bank account - equities, commodities, art, collectibles.

Base network interested in adding RWAs (real world assets) and supporting builders/developers.

For now, U.S. investors blocked from trading Backed's tokenized offerings.
