Biden Administration Announces $20 Billion in Grants to Advance Clean Energy and Tackle Climate Change

EPA announced $20 billion in grants under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to mobilize financing for clean energy and climate solutions.

The 8 selections across the National Clean Investment Fund and Clean Communities Investment Accelerator aim to reduce emissions, deliver benefits to disadvantaged communities, and leverage private capital.

The selections will fund projects like home efficiency upgrades, clean energy for affordable housing, EV loans, and more over the next 7 years.

Over 70% of the $20 billion will go toward low-income and disadvantaged communities to advance environmental justice.

The Fund advances Biden's climate goals under the Inflation Reduction Act while lowering energy costs, improving public health, and creating clean energy jobs.
