Biden Voluntarily Interviews with Special Counsel in Classified Documents Probe

President Biden participated in a voluntary interview with special counsel Robert Hur over two days as part of the classified documents investigation.

The interview marks the first major public development in months in the classified documents case.

Biden previously said there had been no request or interest in an interview with the special counsel.

The interview comes after classified documents were found at Biden's former Washington, D.C. office and Wilmington, Delaware home in 2022.

Biden has said he was surprised to learn classified documents were found and that his attorneys did the right thing by immediately contacting the Archives.
