GOP Senators Urge Biden to Withdraw Labor Nominee Over Presidential Succession Concerns

Senate Republicans sent a letter to President Biden expressing concerns over unconfirmed Labor Secretary nominee Julie Su being placed in the presidential line of succession.

Su has faced immense backlash from Republicans and Democrats and has not been confirmed by the Senate.

The senators say having an unconfirmed nominee be eligible for the presidency goes against the Constitution and congressional intent.

They urged Biden to clarify his position on Su's eligibility and called for him to withdraw her nomination.

The letter was signed by 30 Republican senators including McConnell, Thune, Ernst, and others.
