Biden Interviewed by Special Counsel in Ongoing Probe of Classified Documents

President Biden was interviewed by special counsel Robert Hur as part of the investigation into his handling of classified documents. The interview occurred over two days at the White House.

The special counsel investigation began after Biden's lawyers found classified documents at his Delaware residence and an office in D.C. tied to his time as senator and vice president.

The FBI also conducted searches at Biden's Rehoboth beach home and uncovered materials that appeared to date back to his vice presidency.

Hur was appointed by the Attorney General to investigate this matter, while a separate special counsel is investigating a similar issue with former President Trump.

What differs in the two cases is that Trump allegedly was personally involved in taking documents and pushed his attorneys to mislead the FBI, while Biden's lawyers promptly notified authorities.
