Bitcoin Outperforms as Ethereum and DeFi Tokens Struggle

Bitcoin (BTC) outperformed other cryptocurrencies as Ethereum's ether (ETH) and DeFi tokens struggled.

BTC rose slightly to near $28,500 while ETH dropped to a 15-month low relative to BTC.

The CoinDesk DeFi Index declined 3.7%, led by UniSwap's UNI tumbling nearly 7%.

Sui blockchain's token SUI plummeted 7.6% amid concerns over token supply manipulation.

Bitcoin dominance rate rose to over 52%, its highest since April 2021, as investors favor BTC ahead of its halving next year.
