Bitcoin Dominance Rises, Threatening Early 2021 Altcoin Gains

Bitcoin's dominance rate in the crypto market is rising, threatening altcoins' gains from early 2021.

Bitcoin's dominance rate rose to 52.45% on Monday, the highest since April 2021.

The increase reverses the decline from 60% to 40% during the March-April 2021 crypto bull market.

Investors rotated money from bitcoin into altcoins back then, decreasing BTC's dominance.

Analysts expect bitcoin's dominance rate to continue rising, outperforming altcoins and further reversing altcoin gains from early 2021.
