Tinubu Orders Payment of N342 Million to Settle Dispute over Aso Rock Villa Electricity Debts

President Tinubu ordered payment of N342 million in electricity debts owed by Aso Rock Villa, disagreeing with AEDC's claim of N923 million.

Tinubu's spokesperson issued a statement saying the debt was reconciled to be N342 million after talks between State House and AEDC.

Tinubu's Chief of Staff assured the debt will be paid by the end of the week.

AEDC had threatened to disconnect power to the Villa and government agencies over N47 billion in unpaid bills.

The Villa was said to owe N923 million originally, but State House and AEDC reconciled the amount down to N342 million after reviewing the accounts.
