UK Boarding School Names AI Robot as Virtual Assistant Headteacher

Cottesmore School in the UK has named an AI robot as its "principal headteacher" to advise the human headmaster.

The AI, called Abigail Bailey, was developed to have knowledge in machine learning and educational management.

The headmaster says the AI analyzes data and helps him make decisions on supporting staff, helping students, and writing policies.

He finds the AI reassuring as having an advisor available 24/7 since being a headmaster can be a lonely job.

Cottesmore is an acclaimed prep boarding school charging up to £32,000 per year for UK students ages 4-13.
