Walmart Settles Lawsuit Over Weighted Product Pricing for $45 Million, Consumers May Claim Payments

Walmart has agreed to pay $45 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging overcharging for weighted meats, seafood, and bagged citrus
Consumers who purchased these products at Walmart between October 2018 and January 2024 may be eligible for a cash payment
Payment amounts will range from $10-$25 without proof of purchase or up to 2% of total purchases (max $500) with receipts
Claims can be submitted online by June 5 with payments dispersed electronically or by check
Final settlement approval hearing is set for June 12, objections can be made until May 22
