FTX's Caroline Ellison Recalls Fear of SBF, Endless Workdays, and Rocky Personal Relationship in New Book Revelations

Caroline Ellison was "terrified" of Sam Bankman-Fried when she first started working at Alameda Research, worried she had made a huge mistake.

Ellison told SBF's biographer, Michael Lewis, that she found the work environment at Alameda challenging, with 18-hour days expected.

Lewis' book revealed details about Ellison's on-again, off-again romantic relationship with Bankman-Fried from 2015-2018.

SBF wrote Ellison a memo listing pros and cons of a sexual relationship, saying he was conflicted yet they continued having sex.

Ellison became Alameda co-CEO in 2021 but now faces criminal charges for her role in FTX's collapse.
