CD Projekt Red Uses AI to Recreate Deceased Actor's Voice for Cyberpunk 2077 DLC

CD Projekt Red used AI software to recreate the voice of deceased actor Miłogost Reczek for Cyberpunk 2077 DLC.

Reczek had voiced the character Viktor Vektor in the Polish version of Cyberpunk 2077 before passing away in 2021.

CD Projekt Red worked with AI voice company Respeecher to reconstruct Reczek's voice so he could still voice the character in the new DLC.

Voice acting groups like SAG-AFTRA have raised concerns about AI threatening voice actors' jobs.

CD Projekt Red says Reczek's family approved of using AI to include him in the new content as a tribute.
