Apple CEO Tim Cook Sells $41.5 Million in Company Stock, Remains CEO After Over 10 Years

CEO Tim Cook recently sold Apple stock worth $41.5 million according to an SEC filing. The shares were sold pursuant to a trading plan dating back to November.

Roughly $46.3 million worth of Cook's shares were withheld by Apple for tax purposes. In total the sales and withheld shares were worth nearly $88 million.

After the transactions, Cook still holds a stake of over 3 million Apple shares, under 1% of the company's outstanding stock.

Apple recently introduced the new iPhone 14 models and Apple Watch Series 9. It also released a software update to fix overheating issues with the iPhone 15.

In its latest earnings report, Apple posted $81.8 billion in quarterly sales, down slightly year-over-year. Net income was $19.88 billion.
