Chick-fil-A to Resume Limited Antibiotic Use in Chicken After Near Decade Antibiotic-Free
- Chick-fil-A will begin using some antibiotics in its chicken again, reversing its 2014 decision to use none
- Will use "no antibiotics important to human medicine" but will use antibiotics intended for animals to treat sick chickens
- Change starts in spring 2023, after being antibiotic-free since 2014
- Move comes after other chains like Panera, Subway and McDonald's made similar antibiotic-free pledges
- Chick-fil-A says it still does not use fillers, artificial preservatives or hormones in chicken
