CD Projekt used AI to replicate Polish voice actor for Cyberpunk 2077 expansion after his death in 2021.

Actor's family gave permission to recreate his voice with AI for Phantom Liberty.

Studio called his original performance "stellar" and didn't want to replace him.

Actor was hired to record new lines, then AI software Respeecher cloned his voice.

Goal was to keep his original performance while paying tribute after his passing.
