Delta Updates Boarding Process With New Numbered Zones

Delta is updating its boarding process to be less confusing by using numbered zones 1-8 instead of branded groups.

The new zones will board in the same order of ticket type, with Delta One and first-class first, Basic Economy last.

Pre-boarding, military, and accessibility assistance will still board first.

Zone signs and announcements will reflect the new numbered groups.

Delta follows other airlines like United that have recently updated boarding systems.
