White House Press Sec Criticized for Response on Antisemitism Amid Israel-Hamas Conflict

Rep. Jared Moskowitz criticized White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for giving a "weak answer" on concerns about rising antisemitism amid the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Moskowitz said the simple answer should have been that the administration is very concerned about the rise in antisemitism.

Jean-Pierre said officials have not seen credible threats but are focused on threats against Muslims and Arab Americans.

She later clarified on Twitter that Biden's team is very concerned about rising antisemitism after the Hamas attack on Israel.

The conflict has fueled concerns about increased hate crimes both against Jews and Muslims in the U.S.
