Starfield Tops September Sales Despite Xbox Game Pass Release, Bests PS5 as Top Console

Starfield was the best-selling game of September 2023 in the U.S. according to sales data from Circana.

The game topped the charts despite being available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.

PlayStation 5 was the best-selling console of the month in both dollar sales and units sold.

Starfield is now the 7th best-selling game of 2023 so far.

The launch shows the impact of Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda and parent company ZeniMax Media.
