Disney Plus to Restrict Password Sharing Outside Households Starting in Canada

Disney Plus will start cracking down on password sharing for accounts outside a household beginning Nov. 1, starting in Canada.
Email notices were sent to Canadian subscribers about the new account sharing rules restricting use outside a household.
Disney CEO previously said the company planned to crack down on password sharing, following Netflix which charges for extra users.
It's unknown if Disney Plus will have account sharing rules based on plan tiers like Netflix.
Disney Plus is increasing prices on Oct. 12 including for bundled services, ahead of the password sharing crackdown.
