Donald Trump NFT prices spike following release of mugshot in Georgia criminal case

Donald Trump's mugshot, released as part of his criminal case in Georgia, has caused a surge in the price of nonfungible tokens (NFTs) featuring him, with the floor price of his digital trading cards increasing more than 62%. Trump, who has been largely absent from social media, posted the mugshot on X (formerly Twitter) for the first time since January 2021. The criminal case against Trump alleges he was part of a racketeering scheme to overturn the 2020 election results, and he still faces federal charges in the District of Columbia and a New York criminal case.
