Median monthly revenue for an app after 1 year is less than $50. However, if an app reaches $1,000 per month there is a decent chance revenue will continue to grow.
-
Only 17.2% of apps reach $1,000 per month in revenue. Apps that do reach this point have a 60% chance of later hitting $5,000 per month.
-
Health and fitness apps make at least twice as much revenue after a year compared to other categories. Travel and productivity apps make less than $1,000 even for top 5%.
-
The top 5% of apps make 200 times more revenue than the bottom 25% after the first year.
-
One trend predicted is more one-off in-app purchases alongside subscriptions.
