Snowden Dismisses SEC Lawsuit Against Coinbase, Predicts Agency Will Lose So Hard It Won't Try Again

Edward Snowden said he's not bothered by the SEC's lawsuit against Coinbase, predicts the SEC will "lose so hard in court" they won't try something similar again.

Snowden recalled the SEC previously having to approve Bitcoin ETFs "with tears in his eyes" after a past legal defeat.

The SEC filed a lawsuit against Coinbase in June 2023, accusing it of operating as an unregistered securities dealer.

A court recently rejected Coinbase's motion to dismiss the SEC's allegations, a setback for Coinbase.

Snowden has previously predicted a national government will be revealed this year to have been secretly buying Bitcoin.
