Buterin Ditches Twitter for Farcaster, Citing Better Engagement

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has left Twitter due to finding the people on the platform annoying, preferring decentralized social media protocol Farcaster instead.

Buterin believes Farcaster enables higher quality engagement compared to Twitter.

Farcaster usage surged after launching a new Frames feature allowing on-chain and off-chain functions within apps.

Buterin dismissed claims that Farcaster insulates him in a crypto bubble, saying it's used by non-crypto people too.

Buterin encouraged reporters to post stories from his recent Taipei talk on Farcaster before tweeting, saying "we need to use our own stuff!"
