Elon Musk Aims to Make X a Full Finance Platform Within a Year, Telling Employees Users Won't Need Bank Accounts

Elon Musk plans to turn X into a full finance platform within a year, saying users won't need a bank account.

He expects finance features to launch by end of 2024, told X employees during an all-hands call.

"When I say payments, I mean someone's entire financial life," Musk said.

X has been working to obtain more licenses nationwide to enter payments business.

Musk says X/PayPal product roadmap was written by him and David Sacks in 2000, wants to implement it now.
