Twitter Rolls Out Voice and Video Calling for Paying Subscribers
-
Elon Musk has introduced voice and video calling to Twitter, now known as X, for paying Premium subscribers.
-
The calls are currently only available on iOS, with Android coming soon. Non-paying users can receive but not initiate calls.
-
To access the feature, Premium users must update their app and enable calling in Settings. Musk says it's still in beta.
-
This addition is part of Musk's effort to transform Twitter into an "everything app" with new features like long-form writing and live streaming.
-
The voice/video calls could raise privacy and access concerns if not handled carefully by the platform.
