Kentucky Dairy Queen Employees Allegedly Forced to Eat Contaminated Ice Cream
• Employees at a Dairy Queen in Kentucky were allegedly forced by their manager to eat ice cream contaminated with cleaning solution as punishment for not properly cleaning the ice cream machine.
• The mother of a 17-year-old employee says her daughter and about 8 other employees, many of them minors, experienced burning sensations and sought medical treatment after being forced to eat the tainted ice cream.
• Police are investigating the incident but have not filed any charges yet, in part because of the involvement of juvenile employees.
• Similar incidents like product tampering can result in felony charges, as seen in a recent case where a woman was charged for letting her daughter lick and put back a tongue depressor at a medical clinic.
• A trend of people licking and tampering with products before putting them back for unsuspecting customers to buy has been around for years, gaining traction after a 2015 incident involving Ariana Grande.
