Epic Games Acquires Hatoful Boyfriend Publisher, Creator Says Royalties Unpaid Since Takeover

Epic Games acquired Mediatonic, the publisher of Hatoful Boyfriend, in 2021.

Hatoful Boyfriend's creator, Hato Moa, says they have not received any royalty payments from Epic since the acquisition.

Moa tweeted asking for help contacting the right person at Epic about the missing royalties.

Epic responded saying they are looking into the issue and will contact Moa directly.

Moa said the unpaid royalties are likely small since sales dropped when Hatoful Boyfriend was delisted from most platforms after the acquisition.
