Ethereum's Pectra Upgrade to Bring Improved Wallet Features, Higher Validator Limits in 2024/2025
- Pectra is Ethereum's next planned upgrade, coming end of 2024/early 2025
- It will include improvements for wallet UX like transaction batching and one-click approvals (EIP 3074)
- The validator staking limit will increase 64x from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH (EIP 2751)
- This will help consolidate validators and reduce load for institutional stakers
- Pectra will allow developers to work on parallel upgrades like verkle trees over the next year+
