Longtime Lincoln Park Uncle Julio's Closes Suddenly, Leaving Loyal Employees Jobless and Mulling Legal Action

Uncle Julio's restaurant in Lincoln Park closed abruptly this week after 30 years, shocking employees who showed up to work to find it shut down.

Employees complain they were not offered positions at other Uncle Julio's locations, contrary to the company's statement, and face transportation hurdles getting to suburban restaurants.

Workers plan to hire a lawyer and pursue legal action against Uncle Julio's, similar to former Hancock Center employees who won $1.5 million in a recent case.
