Marissa Mayer Launches New AI-Powered Photo Sharing App Shine

Former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer launched a new photo-sharing app called Shine that uses AI to curate and share group event photos.

Shine automatically uploads event photos and lets invited friends view and add their own pictures.

The app relies on AI to determine the "best" photos to include and asks users for input on uncertain picks.

Some criticize Shine's outdated visual design, but Mayer says she is open to hiring designers to improve it.

Shine is free on iOS and includes a web version with AI image generation for event invites.
