Pennsylvania Wins Big as Biden Grants Fund Two Major Hydrogen Hubs in the State

Two hydrogen hub projects located partially in Pennsylvania will receive part of $7 billion in federal grants for clean hydrogen production.

The grants are part of Biden's plan to produce 50 million metric tons of clean hydrogen fuel by 2050 to decarbonize the economy.

A hydrogen hub based in the Mid-Atlantic region including PA, NJ and DE will get a $750 million grant.

An Appalachian hydrogen hub covering PA, OH and WV will also receive a grant.

The grants mark a major win for PA, a key state in determining if Biden wins reelection in 2024.
