Pakistan Exports to US Drop 10% in 2023; China Share Also Falls Despite Growth

Exports from Pakistan to the US fell 10% to $3.63 billion in the first 8 months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period last year.

Exports from Pakistan to China increased 42% to $1.895 billion in July-February 2024 compared to the same months the previous year.

The US remained Pakistan's biggest export destination in FY23, but its share of total exports fell from 21% to 19%.

China's share of Pakistan's exports dropped from 10% to 8% in FY23.

Textiles and clothing exports to North America declined, contributing to the overall export fall to the US.
