FBI Notifies Passengers of Alaska Airlines 737 MAX Flight That Door Panel Blowout May Be Criminal
- FBI told Alaska Airlines flight 1282 passengers they may be victims of a crime related to a door panel blowing out mid-flight in January
- The flight was a Boeing 737 Max carrying 171 passengers and 6 crew when the door panel blew out at 16,000 feet
- Four bolts used to secure the panel were missing; pilots landed safely in Portland and no serious injuries
- Passengers have filed a lawsuit against Alaska Airlines, Boeing and Spirit Aerosystems alleging negligence
