Matt Mercer to Voice Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Won't Be Playable

Voice actor Matt Mercer revealed at NYCC that he will play Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Mercer was initially pranked by Square Enix - asked to record lines for an unimportant NPC before being offered the Vincent role.

Vincent won't be playable in the sequel, but an "accompanying character" like Red XIII in FF7 Remake.

Square Enix explained the box art represents the story's themes of life/rebirth.

FF7 Rebirth will feature new story content about Zack and possibly Sephiroth backstory from Ever Crisis.
