Driver became very ill and cried out for help after being bitten. She was hospitalized in serious condition.

Eastern diamondback rattlesnakes are venomous and can attack humans if threatened.

If you see one, give it space and don't try to touch it.

Be careful when leaving home in areas where eastern diamondbacks live. Watch for stumps, burrows, fallen trees.
