Apple to Release iOS 17.1 By October 24 to Fix iPhone 12 Radiation Levels in France

French regulator leaked that iOS 17.1 will launch by October 24 to fix iPhone 12 radiation issue.

iOS 17.1 update will bring iPhone 12 in France into compliance with regulatory limit of 4 W/kg.

Until the update rolls out, the iPhone 12 sales ban in France will remain in force.

The radiation issue was due to increased power in off-body testing. On-body levels were lower.

iOS 17.1 will also bring new Apple Music, AirDrop, StandBy mode, and Apple Watch features.
