Employees of FRESHFARM farmers markets voted to ratify their first union contract with United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 400.

This makes them the first farmers market operator in the country to approve a collective bargaining agreement.

The 3-year contract covers 25 employees at nearly 30 farmers markets in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.
