Samsung Begins Rolling Out October 2023 Security Update for Galaxy Tab S8
- Galaxy Tab S8 models receiving October 2023 security patch update
- Update rolling out to Wi-Fi variants so far, 5G models to follow
- Firmware version ends in BWI1
- Patch doesn't include other changes beyond security fixes
- Tab S8 got One UI 5.1.1 recently, Android 14 coming soon
- October patch fixes some generic vulnerabilities
- 2 critical Android OS vulnerabilities fixed, plus 12 Samsung-specific ones
- Update can be installed via Settings or downloaded from SamMobile
